Angie began her
artistic career in 1984 at the Siggers salon in Atlanta, GA. Her
active pursuit of creative
knowledge, techniques and processes took her around the world to the
Vidal Sassoon Academy in Toronto, as well as salons in London,
Milan, and Paris. In 1988, she became director of education at
Siggers, bringing her unique creativity and bubbly, engaging manner
to salons all over the U.S as a guest artist and teacher.
"My whole life, I've always had an affinity for hair design,"
explains Angie. "Even as a teenager, I understood it on such a basic
level… It quickly became a passion for me to explore how hair should
work to accentuate people's faces, personalities and senses of
style. It was a very natural - and wonderful - thing to make it my
career." |

For
Douglas, the right color is as important as the right cut when it
comes to creating a knockout style. "There are an infinite number of
shades of hair," he says, "But it takes vision to be able to see the
one that will work on any given face. The wrong shade might look
okay. But the right shade complements the eyes, skin and personality
in a way that's so believable. When it's right, it's gorgeous."
Douglas' artistic vision and understanding of color/light dynamics
emerged with his interest in photography in the 1980s. Advanced
studies all over the world with many of the industry's foremost
stylists and colorists combined that vision with tools that have
made Douglas one of the most innovative colorist/stylists working
today.
